Where our inspirations came from

Our inspiration for the ideas for our music video has come from a number of similar videos the original How To love video, one of which includes the A Team video-a song by Ed Sheeran.

When carrying out the research for the music video, we looked at the A Team video and liked the simplicity of it. It was simple but of a good quality. The A Team video was edited in black and white and basically had the protagonist acting out the lyrics, e.g the song was about a young girl trapped in a life of drugs and prostitution and the camera filmed the girl walking around daydreaming in the park, walking around the town centre selling copies of the Big Issue, taking cocaine from somebody and taking her clothes off in a brothel for a man and standing on street corners for kerb-crawlers. Because it was simple but good, we too decided to have our protagonist basically daydreaming of a better life and remembering things about her ex.

We also got our inspiration for the digipak covers, album cover and poster from the digipak cover and album cover of this song. It is a simple cover with a kind of "sketch" of the protagonist with her arms out wanting to experience freedom, this is in grey with a plain white background which matches the simplicity of the music video.
